What’s New from Savoy House

Back in January, we took a trip down to Dallas to see the newest looks in the lighting world at the Lightovation trade show. (Previously, we wrote about visiting Hudson Valley Lighting Group at the show.) While we were there, we definitely had to stop by the spacious Savoy House showroom and take a look at their new offerings.

We think Savoy House designed a beautiful collection. Their January introductions include versatile chandeliers, cool midcentury modern looks, charming French country style lights and much, much more.

“For our January 2020 lighting collection, we embraced warm brass, multifaceted crystals, unexpected whimsy, and meticulously hand-applied layered finishes,” said Jess Patterson, customer service manager for Savoy House. “We found inspiration everywhere, from the farmhouses of Provence to boutique hotels in the far corners of the world.”

Warm brass as a finish is prominent throughout the new introductions. For example, this Berg pendant has a metal shade that is finished in warm brass on the outside and the inside—a thoughtful detail that ensures a uniform look.

It also makes a notable appearance as the accent on the out-of-this-world midcentury modern Lamar collection. We already knew that brass made a great pair with black, and it pairs well with white as well, but it also looks great when placed with navy blue.

We were truly impressed by the attention to detail in these new Savoy House introductions, especially in their chic Rustic French style offerings. These lights feature layered, hand-applied finishes, along with wood beads, textured pendelogues (the “crystals” that hang from the fixtures) and lovely gilded touches.

Along with chandeliers, pendants and other indoor lighting, Savoy House has plenty of lighting options for your outdoor spaces. That includes the coastal charm of the Hartberg, which has a very special feature.

“Just like the shutters you might see on coastal homes, you can open and close the shutters on the Hartberg,” Patterson explained. “This helps you create just the right amount of light for your space.”

Hartberg has a layered, hand-applied Aged Driftwood finish that looks just like weathered wood. Plus, if you love this look but want to use it indoors, you can—just set the protective glass bulbs aside and you’re ready to glow.

What was our favorite new introduction from Savoy House? That’s easy: it’s DeSoto, a pair of pendants that effortlessly combines so many eye-catching details. It has a midcentury modern Sputnik nucleus, a rustic French wine barrel strap, a transitional orb shape and modern farmhouse beads. There’s so much style in this one fixture. So what is it? It’s just fabulous!

These new looks from Savoy House are sure to brighten up and beautify any home, no matter your décor style and no matter what spaces need better illumination. They also showcase cool new designs and lots of artistic flair.

Patterson herself said it perfectly: “These collections define the new spirit of Savoy House.”
